| Let's face it, selling your home is not cheap. Besides the many costs incurred during the selling process, one of the most expensive is commissions for realtor services. There are many good reasons to hire a professional real estate representative when selling your home. The question is however, at what price. Nationally affiliated or franchise real estate firms have built-in costs required by the national corporation for being allowed to use the name and support brand recognition of their companies. In addition, the Broker who heads the local branch must ensure they meet costs required for office space, operating equipment, phone systems, etc. Add to that the fees for membership to the local board (MLS) plus splitting of commissions between the Broker and the Sales Agents results in increased needs for income associated with each client they represent. Someone must pay these costs and it is most often the home seller. |

| There is a major difference between a Broker license and a Real Estate Salesperson license. (Learn about the difference by clicking on the block below) After several years as a salesperson, I obtained a Broker license from the Texas Real Estate Commission for the sole purpose of becoming independent and offering many of the cost savings to my listing clients. Some of the "bells and whistles" had to be sacrificed but service and quality performance were not among them. Very simply put, it means no more sharing of listing commissions with a sponsoring company or having to pay national firm franchise costs. The MLS remains part of the service and any real estate agent in the area can show and sell your property. Call for an appointment to learn how you can benefit financially by listing with me. |
